Massachusetts 3PL Services | Ohio Fulfillment | 247 Fulfillment
Massachusetts brands. Ohio fulfillment for nationwide growth.
Keep your team in Massachusetts and compare 247’s Ohio fulfillment offering for national ecommerce, retail preparation and returns. Use your Boston-area inbound freight, customer ZIP codes and existing Northeast service as the baseline. The Ohio program should solve a defined operating problem before you move stock.
The proposed origin is Ohio, not a Massachusetts warehouse. Confirm the assigned facility and receiving availability in the proposal.
If stock arrives through Conley Terminal or another local handoff, include the complete move from release to warehouse receipt.
Rate Massachusetts and nearby orders separately from the rest of the country before changing the inventory origin.

Leading brands trust 247 to power their fulfillment
E-commerce, marketplace, retail, DTC, and high-volume brands partner with 247 to scale fulfillment across North America.

Start with the route your inventory already takes.
A Boston importer, a Worcester ecommerce brand and a western Massachusetts retailer do not have the same inbound cost or customer map. Compare an Ohio allocation after tracing stock from its real release point and separating Northeast-heavy demand from nationwide orders.
Ohio has to earn the transfer from Massachusetts.
MassDOT identifies I-90 as the primary freight route from the west into New England. That makes an Ohio comparison relevant, but it does not prove lower parcel cost or faster delivery for a Massachusetts customer. Rate the same orders, services and dates from both origins.
For port-arriving inventory, treat terminal release, local drayage, any inland transfer and warehouse receiving as separate cost and ownership points. The destination warehouse cannot receive stock until those handoffs are complete.
Massport identifies Conley Terminal as its full-service container terminal and provides a dedicated freight corridor to the highway system. For your program, record who controls release, drayage, appointments and exceptions before pricing a move to Ohio.
A central Massachusetts location can already serve New England demand. Show Massachusetts, Northeast and nationwide orders separately, then compare parcel services and total fulfillment costs without assuming a farther move is automatically better.
If inventory or packaging arrives from a regional supplier, use that pickup point and frequency in the comparison. A Boston-port estimate is not a substitute for a Springfield- or Berkshires-area replenishment route.
Retailer replenishment may need case packs, labels, pallet builds and appointments that do not appear in a consumer-parcel average. Include both workflows so a parcel saving does not hide higher wholesale handling.
Local events, store replenishment or product inspection can justify retained Massachusetts inventory. Define the SKUs and service need, then include extra safety stock and transfers in any split-location model.
Freeze transferred quantities by SKU, retain carton or pallet identifiers and compare the Ohio receipt with the dispatch record. Decide who owns open orders, shortages and damaged stock during the cutover.

Your next market needs more than another shipping label.
Scope the Ohio program around the Massachusetts orders you want it to serve: receiving, storage, DTC, retail/B2B, marketplace preparation and returns. Confirm product fit, systems and receiving dates in the proposal.

Massachusetts team. An Ohio inventory option.
Evaluate Ohio as the proposed U.S. fulfillment origin for a defined order group. Retain Massachusetts stock when its local purpose and total economics support it.
The pins show 247 network options, not Massachusetts facilities or a delivery-time guarantee. Confirm the assigned origin and Ohio receiving availability in your proposal.
Keep a Massachusetts origin or allocate stock to Ohio?
Use the same orders, parcel profiles, services and dates. Keep the one-time transfer and added replenishment budget beside the recurring quote.
Preserve the Northeast work that performs
Give the Ohio allocation a measurable job
A documented comparison. A controlled start.
Share anonymized destination ZIPs, parcel dimensions, services, channels and SKU demand. Separate Massachusetts, Northeast and national orders.
Identify the port, supplier or current warehouse, who owns each freight leg, shipment format, appointments and expected Ohio receiving requirements.
Confirm facility availability, SKU mapping, channel reservations, packaging, returns and ownership of open orders before dispatching inventory.
Match Ohio receipts to the transfer manifest, run representative consumer and retail orders and review actual costs and exceptions before expanding.
A useful comparison separates warehouse dispatch from carrier delivery. Judge the proposed move on total cost, service performance, inventory availability, and the work your team no longer needs to manage.
What should a Massachusetts brand compare?
Practical answers on Boston inbound freight, retained Northeast stock and an Ohio allocation.
Does 247 have a fulfillment center in Massachusetts?
No. This page describes 3PL services for Massachusetts brands using 247’s proposed Ohio fulfillment origin. Your proposal confirms the facility, receiving address and availability. Review the Ohio offering.
Is Ohio always cheaper or faster for Massachusetts orders?
No. Compare actual origin and destination ZIP codes, parcel weights and dimensions, service, ship date, account rates and surcharges. Add inbound transfer, receiving, storage and carrying costs before choosing an origin.
How should Conley Terminal inventory be quoted?
Start at the actual release point. Identify the party handling terminal release, drayage, appointments, inland freight and destination receiving. Port arrival is not warehouse availability, and this page does not promise that 247 performs those freight or import steps.
Should we keep inventory in Massachusetts?
Possibly. Nearby retail replenishment, events, samples or Northeast-heavy demand may justify a local allocation. Define its purpose, stock depth and replenishment rule, then compare the total cost of operating two positions.
Can retail and ecommerce move at different times?
Discuss a staged transition in the proposal. Protect case packs and reserved retail quantities, map unit conversions and decide how orders spanning locations will be handled before moving one channel.
Where should returns go during a transition?
Document when new labels change to the agreed destination and how older Massachusetts returns will be inspected, reported or transferred. Set product-specific restock and exception rules. Review returns processing.
What should we send for a Massachusetts comparison?
Share monthly volume, anonymized ZIPs, parcel profiles, SKUs, inventory, channels, inbound origin, port or supplier handoffs, retail rules and returns. Request a Massachusetts-to-Ohio comparison.
